short (very short) note to a RIF'ed foreign service employee

Long time! I saw a comment you left on LinkedIn. You are the first FSO I've heard of affected by the RIF. I feel so bad for you and for any others. I lost contact with most foreign service people after my departure and eventual retirement. It's been important for me to find meaning both in my careers (before and after) and in my departure. One finds other ways to make a bit of an income, and more importantly, other ways to find and make meaning. I wish you success and good health in your next career/life steps.
