a new name and a new look for the next phase
I’ve been giving this some thought for several months. There comes a time for a breakout moment, a transfer to a different level, like a caterpillar to a butterfly or a tadpole to a baby frog. We are there with my memoir project, and as I am not getting any younger, I’ll be 70 this year, the time is now if ever for a change.
First, is the renaming, from whatever was before, to the new, The Adventures of Ray Maxwell, inspired by the great American novel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and its most recent manifestation, Percival Everett’s James. I’m going for something slightly edgier, slightly more mixed genre. It is still going to be autobiographical, but moe purpose driven, as my life has always been.
Secondly, I am reformatting to a two column-per-page layout, giving it a bit of a tabloid look. Because, why not? Not sure how soon we can get that done in Substack, or even it there is the capacity. But we can surely do it in Word, maing it overall more juicier, with more punch and more pizazz!
So, stay tuned and Bon Voyage!
